Questions,
answered.
Everything worth knowing before you join the waitlist.
What is Prep'd?
A personal chef cooks a week of meals in your kitchen, built around your goals, your diet and your health data. We plan the menu and the grocery list, and chefs can add their own recipes. Groceries come one of three ways: you buy them, your chef shops for you, or we place a grocery delivery order. The chef cooks, portions and labels.
How does the waitlist work?
Give us an email and a ZIP code and you're on it. The questions afterwards are optional and only sharpen your chef match. We'll email you when Prep'd opens near you, with no commitment.
Where are you available?
The New York area first, launching in early November. Join the waitlist from anywhere and we'll tell you when we reach you.
Can Prep'd handle allergies?
Yes, and they are treated as hard rules rather than preferences. Every chef completes an in-home safety checklist covering cross-contact, and every meal is labelled.
Will I choose my chef?
You'll see a short list of recommended chefs with a plain reason for each match, then pick the person who feels right.
What is Prep'd IQ?
The layer that learns. It weighs four things: what you like, what your health data shows, what you want to spend, and which chefs you click with. It gets more useful the more you rate and adjust.
How is my health data used?
Only to personalise your meals. We store what is needed for that and nothing else, we never sell it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
How do chefs get vetted?
An application, an interview, a trial cook, and a background check before the first booking, which Prep'd pays for. A chef is only bookable once all of that is clear.
